He may have just written a book on parenting, but Ethan Hawke's wife, Ryan Shawhughes, supposedly thinks the Hollywood actor stil has a thing or two to learn about being a good husband. According to the latest gossip news updates, Ryan feels like she is often left to raise their children alone, while the Purge star signs up for one movie after the next. Word has it the Ryan is starting to wonder what's the point of being married, when most days it feels like she's already divorced.
Ethan Hawke may feel he has parenting figured out, but that could be because he is supposedly letting his wife, Ryan Shawhughes, do most of the work.
One source in the latest December 21, issue of Star magazine claims that Ethan's working so much lately that it's like his wife doesn't even have a husband to help her with the kids:
"These days, Ryan feels like a married single mom...or worse yet, the nanny.
"She asked him to step back from the spotlight, but Ethan has yet to turn down a role.
"He's always struggled to find a work-life balance. And it looks like nothing changed."
Unfortunately for Ryan, Deadline just recently announced that Ethan had landed yet another leading role in the upcoming sci-fi blockbuster, Valerian:
"Hawke joins a cast that includes Dane DeHaan and Cara Delavingne, who are respectively playing Valerian and Laureline, a pair of spatio-temporal agents who help defend a utopian 28th century Earth and its neighboring planets from bad guys, with the pair's adventures rooted in space opera and time travel themes."
What do you think Ethan Hawke should do if his wife really is upset with his working so much?
Would he have to be crazy to turn down movies while he's still a viable leading man?
Or, is it time that Hawke maybe put his career on the backburner to play a larger role in his family's life?
Let us hear what you have to say about it in the comment field below.
