Sony first unleashed news of its virtual reality ventures, dubbed Project Morpheus, in 2014 at the Game Developers Conference and it is just as cool as it sounds. Since then Sony has been working with several game developers to produce games for the console's newest tech advance which is expected to be released sometime in 2016. Below is video footage of game demos of several of the games that have been announced for Project Morpheus.
When he unveiled Project Morpheus at the conference, Shuhei Yoshida, the president of Sony Worldwide Studios, said "Virtual reality is the next innovation from PlayStation that will shape the future of games." Based on what I have seen in these videos, I really can't argue.
This first video is a tech demo showing the basic game play to give a better idea of what Virtual Reality is like and what can be achieved with it.
Some of the most recent Virtual exclusive games that have been announced for the PS4 so far include, Rez Infinite, Ace Combat 7 and Modern Zombie Taxie Co. But it was London Heist: The Getaway that, according to International Business Times, Andrew House of Sony Computer Entertainment claims he was playing when he realized just how real Virtual Reality can feel: "I had that amazing moment where I tried to put the controller on the table," but it wasn't really there because the table was in the game!

The Deep takes you into the ocean where your diving cage gets attacked by a shark.
There is no news yet as to when Sony will release the Virtual Reality App, but David Cole of DFC IntelligenceCole seems to think a date will be made available at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January 2016.
The Sony Experience Panel, hosted on December 5th, included Anton Mikhailov of Media Molecule which produced the Mind Bogglingly creative game Little Big Planet. In the realm of virtual reality, they are creating a psychologically immersive game called Dreams which is a relative of Little Big Planet in that you will be able to create your own virtual reality... Anything by the looks of it.
This video is not so much a demo of Dreams being played with the Morpheus headset so much as it is showing off what you can do in create mode. This game will, however, be one of the games offered on the virtual reality platform.
