Justin Bieber has apparently rudely backed out of an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as well as a performance he had lined up for the Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS. The cancellations were very last minute, giving Colbert and his network little time to make other arrangements.
Only 48 hours before his flight to New York City for the two CBS events, Bieber sent two Tweets to Colbert. "He tweeted, "My apologies to @colbertlateshow as I won't be able to make it to NYC tomorrow for the show. I look forward to making it up to you soon." A second Tweet was sent directly to the comedic host shortly thereafter, "Thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our ass and we need to deal with it. I will see u soon. Thank you."
At least he was polite about it, but does the 21 year old really have to apologize via Twitter?
So far, there have been a couple of conflicting reports from Hollywood Life and TMZ as to the reasons Bieber may have cancelled.
TMZ seems to be under the impression that "The Biebs" is, "totally spent -- emotionally and mentally," a statement that could potentially be supported by his, "life kicks our ass and we need to deal with it," comment. TMZ quotes sources that are in Bieber's circle, one of whom reports that Bieber's "moods [are] swinging like a pendulum." These same sources also say these "personal issues" have nothing to do with drugs or alcohol.
Hollywood Life, on the other hand, is under the impression that, "It was a scheduling conflict, something came up and he had to stay in LA," There have been concerns about Bieber's health, but apparently, Hollywood Life's exclusive sources think, he will "be okay."
Sources also told Hollywood Life that Bieber made an offer to CBS to film a performance for the parade from Los Angeles, but they seemingly said, thanks, but no thanks.
If you are upset with the pop star for bailing on his commitments, perhaps this Zoolander 2 trailer that shows him dying in will make you feel a little better.
