Heading into NFL Week 11 action, what five bold predictions can be made for the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Blake Bortles Throws for Four Touchdowns
While the Tennessee defense stepped up a bit at times this past week, they still have one of the worst secondaries in the league. That will show this week and Blake Bortles is going to have a big game for the Jaguars. He will throw at least four touchdowns and will put up a career day to help give his team a chance to pull out a huge win.
2. Marcus Mariota Throws for 300+ Yards and Three Touchdowns
On the other side of the field, No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota is having a great rookie season for the Titans. He is going to have another big game against the Jacksonville defense and will throw for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns on Thursday night. Tennessee is going to need a big game from their quarterback if they want to come away with a big division victory.
3. Julius Thomas Finally Has His Big Breakout Game
One of the bigger disappointments of the season for the Jaguars has been the lack of production that Julius Thomas has put up. He was signed in free agency this past offseason and was expected to be one of the best free agency signings of the offseason. That hasn't been the case yet, but he will break out and finally show some of the potential that the Jaguars saw in him to give the lucrative contract that they signed Thomas to.
4. Dorial Green-Beckham Finally Puts Up Big Numbers
Tennesse selected Dorial Green-Beckham with their second-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and he has caught just 12 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns this season. That will change this week and fans can expect to see Green-Beckham involved in the game plan early and often. Justin Hunter is set to hit the IR, which will open up a bigger role for DGB this week against the Jaguars.
5. Tennessee Comes Away with a Big Division Victory
This game is important for both of these teams, as the AFC South division is still wide open with the Indianapolis Colts struggling mightily. Now that Andrew Luck will be out for 2-6 weeks it means even more. Tennessee is going to ride Mariota's arm to a big win and will get closer to catching up to the Colts and Texans at the top of the division.
Overview
Expect to see these two teams battle throughout the entire game, but the Titans will make the winning plays down the stretch. Jacksonville still has more flaws than Tennessee does. Mariota and Bortles will both put up big wins, but our money is on the Titans being able to pull out a clutch victory,
