Sacrificing a tiny bit of subplot in order to spread is a little kindness during a time of great darkness, is not just nice thing to do, it's the only thing that you could expect from Supergirl. The hit new DC Comics/CBS series is changing out tonight’s regularly scheduled episode, in exchange for next week’s. This is due to the Paris terrorist attacks, and the nature of the original episode which featured bombing in National City. Check out the plot preview below for a look at the episode that is and the episode that would have been.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Supergirl, titled “Livewire,” reads (via Comic Book Resources):
“Kara’s Thanksgiving may be ruined when her foster mother comes for a tense visit and a volatile Catco employee is transformed into the villainous Livewire on Supergirl, Noday, Nov 16.
“Livewire – Kara’s Thanksgiving may be ruined when she suspects her foster mother, Dr. Danvers (Helen Slater), who is coming to town, disapproves of her new role as a superhero. Also, when an accident transforms a volatile CatCo employee into the villainous Livewire, she targets Cat and Supergirl, on Supergirl, Monday, Nov. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Brit Morgan guest stars as Leslie Willis/Livewire and Helen Slater guest stars as Dr. Eliza Danvers, Kara’s foster mother.”
CBS was originally going to air an all new episode which featuring severl bombings taking place.The official plot synopsis for the episode which would air tonight, titled “How Does She Do It?,” reads:
“Kara is pulled in two directions when babysitting Cat's son, at the same time, National City is hit by a series of bombings. Meanwhile, James feels conflicted when his ex-girlfriend Lucy Lane tries to rekindle their relationship.”
