When Caitlyn Jenner first made the announcement about her intention to transition into a women, one by one her friends and family rushed to her side to show their support. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, now that that those once close friends have left as the limelight has faded, the I Am Cait star is feeling quite alone. Word has it the Jenner even misses her ex-wife Kris and is thinking for the first time in months that she might have made a mistake leaving Keeping Up with the Kardashians behind.
While Caitlyn Jenner enjoyed a surge of support following her transsexual transition, it's said that as the media attention has faded so has the reality star's support system.
One source in the latest November 23, issue of OK! MAgazine claims that these days Caitlyn is so lonely that she often even misses Kris Jenner's company:
"At first, her sisters and mom were front and center, her kids rallied around her and she invited other transgender women to be her new friends; even Kris Jenner cam by...she wasn't just a wife, she was a best friend to Cait.
"But suddenly, it's as though the novelty's worn off, and her trans friends have gone back to their lives, believing they don't have much in common with a superrich Hollywood celebrity."
Not only has the novelty waned but now some members of the LGBTQ community seem out to destroy Cait's image of a proud trans woman.
After the reality star spoke at an LGBTQ event in Chicago this week, protestors confronted her outside for having the audacity to speak for transwomen everwhere (via Entertainment Tonight):
"You are an insult to trans people, you are an insult to women."
If Caitlyn is looking for her ex-wife to rush to her defense, it seems she will be waiting for a long time.
In a recent interview with the Evening Standard in London, Kris Jenner explained that from now on she thinks it's best to let Caitlyn speak for herself (via E! News):
"I'm not going to talk about it...I wish everybody well; when it comes to everybody else's journey, as far as people that are trying to find themselves, this is a very fresh and new thing, so I think it's important for me to let her tell her own story."
What do you think of the LGBTQ backlash against Caitlyn Jenner?
Is it wrong for the former Olympian to speak for a community that she just recently became a part of herself?
Or, should Caitlyn's trans-detractors remember what it's like to have insults hurled at you just because you don't meet someone else's expectations?
Let us hear what you have to say about it in the comment field below.
