Spoiler Alert: Tonight Law & Order: SVU is all new with another gripping episode. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) loses sight of her adopted son, Noah. In other news, the original L&O might soon be getting a reboot.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, titled “Melancholy Pursuit,” reads:
“The detectives look for a teenage girl who was abducted and find crucial DNA evidence about her kidnapper. As the search progresses, the case deeply affects Sgt. Dodds.”
Fans of the original Law & Order series might be in for a treat. Recently Law & Order creator and executive producer Dick Wolf spoke to reporters at the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour about a potential reboot of the classic L&O (via Variety):
“We’ve been talking about it on and off for the past year or so, trying to figure out how to do it right. We would only do a close-ended [season]. I don’t think we’d start the show up again. Nothing’s ruled out, but I think initially we’re thinking, let’s just do another set of episodes and see what we have and take it from there.”
