Tonight Fox is all new with episodes of Rosewood and Empire. The latter series has proven to be so successful that there has even been talk of a spin-off series. Now, the showrunner is opening up about the rumors? Could the spin-off be confirmed?
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Empire, titled “True Love Never,” reads:
“Lucious explores the possibility of partnering with Jago as he maps out a plan to turn Empire into a global music monolith; at the same time, Andre struggles to find a balance between his newfound values and demanding career. Elsewhere, Hakeem molds Laura into a star; and Cookie pushes to get Lyon Dynasty involved in a major televised charity concert.”
Empire is an undeniable hit for Fox. There has already been talk of a spin-off series. Recently, Empire showrunner Ilene Chaiken spoke to Variety about the rumors:
“Right now, we are focused on making the best season two of ‘Empire’ we can possibly make.In our world, there may well be storylines and characters that we can spin off, but that’s not what we are focused on right now, and nothing official or concrete is happening with regards to it. We really just want to stay focused on what we’re doing.”
