For over a year now, the supermarket tabloids have oscillated between claiming that Nicole Richie and her Madden Brothers husband, Joel, are either having a baby or getting a divorce. It seems that the latest gossip news updates are combining the two rumors into a single narrative. Word has it that reality TV show star has decided to have another child in order to save her failing marriage. Although the couple always seem the very picture of happiness, whenever they appear in public, some folks are pointing to the selling of their Hollywood home as evidence that Nicole and Joel are indeed preparing to split.
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have done their best to ignore the gossip magazines insisting they are looking to escape their marriage, but that has done little to quell the deluge of tabloid rumors surrounding their relationship.
The supposed insider that Radar Online spoke to claimed that Nicole Richie is hoping against hope that she can save her marriage by having yet another of Joel Madden's babies:
"Nicole is currently gaining weight because she is trying for another child with Joel.
"After going through a really rough patch she feels that having a baby will help repair everything that is wrong with them.
"Her inner circle just hopes that she can figure this out before it's too late."
One secret source in the latest November 14, issue of National Enquirer insists, however, that Nicole has all but decided to get a divorce in the wake of Joel's reportedly being seen out on a date with a mystery blonde in a swanky Beverly Hills restaurant:
"Nicole exploded and told him that was the last straw.
"The kids are the only reason Nicole is even hanging in there."
While it seems highly unlikely that there is anything really wrong with Joel and Nicole's relationship, some folks point to the recent sell of their family home as a clear indication that the couple are trying to simplify their assets in preparation for a divorce.
Regardless of their reasons for letting the place go, the LA Times reports that the couple made a pretty penny on the home, which was originally built way back in 1914:
"Fashion designer/reality star Nicole Richie and singer Joel Madden have sold their compound in Hollywood Hills for $2.67 million."
