"Weird Al" Yankovic has certainly had one of the more interesting careers in the entertainment business. Since putting out great titles over the years such as "White & Nerdy," "Amish Paradise" and "Smells Like Nirvana," the parody king has delved into some other areas of comedy. Most recently, Yankovic pulled off maybe the most genius sports press conference video, which was stereotyped in pretty much every way possible and truly nailed all the personalities.
This is absolutely brilliant.
Aptly titled "Every Press Conference Ever," Yankovic hit the nail on the head.
We had the coach who goes up there and says something generic and absolutely meaningless because ... that's what coaches do. We had the player who didn't want to get in trouble by saying something stupid, and still said something stupid. We had the reporter who threw a soft-ball question, and the other reporter who thought they should be the coach. We even had a female reporter who more than likely knows their sports, but may or may not have the job just because of her looks. Also, be sure to keep a sharp eye out so you don't miss one half of the Slow Mo guys team, Gavin Free, making an appearance.

But in all seriousness, this accurately described the majority of press conferences, as surprising as that may be coming from "Weird Al." That is, until we got to the end where it turned into pressers involving the Dennis Greens of the world.
The funny thing about these mandated pressers is that almost no information is ever provided that one couldn't have thought of themselves. The coaches and players, generally, are trained quite well by the PR staff to not say anything stupid or go on a tangent. They're told to just answer the question as quickly as possible in a way that will create the least amount of negative publicity.
Nevertheless, this was well done and should be applauded.
Good work, Al.
