‘Flash’ Spoilers: ‘LoT’ Captain Cold Returns, Shantel VanSanten Talks Patty Spivot

Spoiler Alert: Tonight the hit CW series The Flash is all new with another action packed episode. This week we see the return of Legends of Tomorrow’s Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). We also get to learn a little more about Patty Spivot. Recently, Spivot actress Shantel VanSanten is opening up about her new role in the CCPD. Check the report below for a look tonight’s all new episode.

The official plot synopsis for tonight's all new episode of The Flash, titled “Family of Rogues,” reads:

“Barry and the team learn Captain Cold has been kidnapped and then form an uneasy alliance with his sister. However, Barry feels double-crossed when he finds out Snart is working with his father, Lewis Snart, on a heist. Meanwhile, Joe faces a difficult decision.”

Last week we saw the introduction of Patty Spivot played by Shantel VanSanten. Recently, VanSanten spoke to Variety about her character, saying:

“Patty’s part of CCPD and I think that in the realm of Central City right now, a lot of people are aware of metahuman occurrences… For her, it’s about having justice for her father’s death and even if she were to never get to Mardon [Liam McIntyre], it’s about taking down as many people who use their powers for negative reasons and trying to make the world a better place, even if she’s not The Flash.”

VanSanten also opened up about the Patty’s grudge against bad metahumans not extending to all metahumans:

“That’s the part that’s really cool – I think coming into a show where it’s all about superheroes, we all want to be the superhero, and it’s so interesting to see the things Barry struggles with, but as a normal human being, the things we can also do and to play a human being that doesn’t have the powers but has the will and the desire to fight against them is a really beautiful thing.”

Be sure to tune into the all new episode of The Flash, tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on The CW.
