During their two-years of dating, Ted 2's Amanda Seyfried and her funnyman boyfriend, Justin Long, seemed like the perfect low-key Hollywood couple, but behind-the-scenes tension had supposedly been building for quite some time. According to the latest gossip news updates, the True Love beauty split after she realized that Long has no real intentions of ever asking her to get married. After, Amanda let it be known how badly she wanted a baby during an interview last year, she reportedly expected Justin to step up to the plate, and in the end, Seyfried supposedly held it against the Dodge Ball comedian for not being honest with her all along.
When news first went around about Amanda Seyfried split from Justion Long two weeks ago, it was rumored that the Hollywood couple felt that they had to split, because they just couldn't find time to start that family that they both still want so desperately to have.
The insider that People magazine spoke to claimed that Amanda and Justin were still close, just not close enough to figure out a way to get their schedules in sync:
"The truth is that they actually split up around 2 months ago and never lived together.
"They both tried very hard to make it work because they each wanted to eventually have a family but ultimately they weren't compatible and decided to split up.
"They are still on good terms and friends."
One of the sources in the latest October 26 issue of Star magazine reveals, however, that it was really Justin's stalling and back peddling that caused a very unhappy Seyfried to call things off:
"When they first met, Amanda made it clear that she was looking to settle down, and Justin assured her he was too...But the longer they were together, the more evasive he became about an engagement.
"Justin wasn't ready to commit, despite what he was telling people, so Amanda finally called his bluff. The conversation was far from friendly."
According to Star's informant, now that Justin has had a taste of the single life once again, he is starting to wonder if he didn't make a terrible mistake in not marrying Amanda when he had the chance:
"Honestly, Justin never thought Amanda would actually walk out on him. He's bene a bti of a mess since the split."
