Ever since she started dating Justin Bieber a few years back Selena Gomez has been besieged by the constant scrutiny of both the tabloid and more legitimate press, and recently the Revival singer admitted that the stress had taken a real toll -- eventually resulting in a lupus flare up so severe she had to receive chemotherapy. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, Selena quiet enjoyed the gossip magazines spreading the rumor that she was at one point secretly dating Cara Delevingne. Despite Selena's undaunted spirit, Gomez' mother is said to be worried sick that all the attention surrounding the release of her and Bieber's new albums could result in another stroke scare.
While Selena Gomez recently admitted that it was hard not to lash out at the media when they turned her break from Hollywood to attend to a life threatening lupus flare up into a story about her supposedly being addicted to drugs, Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend's told Pride Source that not every rumor was that infuriating.
In a candid interview with PS, Selena explained that she didn't mind the speculation that she and Cara Delevingne were secretly seeing each other one bit -- in fact, she enjoyed it:
"Honestly, I loved it. I didn't mind it. Especially because they weren't talking about other people in my life for once, which was wonderful.
"Honestly, though, she's incredible and very open and she just makes me open. She's so fun and she's just extremely adventurous, and sometimes I just want that in my life, so I didn't mind it. I loved it."
It's not just the reviewed deluge of Selena centric rumors that supposedly has her family starting to worry about Selena's health, however.
One source in the latest October 26, issue of Life & Style claims that those closest to Selena are worried sick that all the stress surrounding the release of Revival is likely to leave the former Disney star in bad shape once again:
"The chemo scared her straight for a while, but Selena doesn't fully grasp that she has limits...Her parents are terrible upset she is planning a new concert tour.
"Her mom is still worried she's going to have a stroke. She's begging her to slow down."
