The Kansas City Royals play the Astros tonight for Game 5 of the ALDS. Starting on the mound for the Royals is Johnny Cueto, who pitched against the Astros last Friday. While the Royals managed to pull off a win, it was due in no part to Cueto, who "gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings." He had an ERA of 6.00 that game, significantly worse than his regular season ERA of 3.44. Cueto will need to improve significantly if the Royals want to win the series tonight. On the plus side, the Astros tend to like to steal bases, and Cueto has only given up two stolen bases all season.
The Houston Astros head to Kansas City to play the final game of the ALDS. Collin McHugh will start as pitcher. With an ERA this post-season of 3.00, he is is actually pitching a bit better so far than he did in the regular season. Additionally, Dallas Keuchel may make an appearance for a few innings after only a couple of days rest. It's not certain, but whatever the case may be, both teams will need to go all out to keep their playoff dreams alive. Currently, the odds are that the Royals will win the game and the series. Whatever the case, one can only hope that tonight's game will be a close riveting one.
