Game Prediction: Tonight's key game on ESPN is between two teams looking to make another statement by beating a ranked team. Utah is currently ranked No. 5 in the country, while California is No. 23 in the national rankings. They may not sound like equal teams, but Jared Goff and the Golden Bears are much better than they have been touted throughout the season to this point.
Goff is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and is looking to power his team to a big win. He has completed 70.2 percent of his pass attempts for 1,630 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions so far this season. Those numbers show exactly why he is viewed as one of the top quarterback prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft.
Utah will be relying on star running back Devontae Booker, who is more than capable of busting out for a big game. Travis Wilson is also an underrated quarterback and showed off some of his full potential last week in a blowout victory over the Oregon Ducks. Both of those guys will have to play huge games if they want any chance at coming away with a win.
California may be the underdog officially, but they are our favorite to pull off the upset win and rise in the rankings with Goff leading the way.
This game will come down to which team can execute better in the fourth quarter, which is exactly where Goff and the Golden Bears offense succeeds the most. Utah definitely has a chance to pull off the win, but our bet is on the arm of the currently viewed top quarterback prospect in the 2016 draft class.
