Game Prediction: Tonight's college football action is going to be extremely entertaining between two bitter rivals from the state of Florida. Florida State will take on Miami and there have been quite a few words exchanged by the Seminoles throughout the course of the week.
Al Golden and the Hurricanes have been struggling this season and haven't taken the big step forward that many were hoping for. They have a lot of talent on their roster and are more than capable of walking into Tallahassee and coming away with a win. That would be a huge upset for their program over the No. 12 team in the nation and would be exactly the type of statement that Golden needs.
Florida State has had some issues throughout the early season so far, especially with Everett Golson. He has shown the impressive playmaking skills that made him special with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but he still has a lot of work to do on picking up the Florida State offense. That could be something to keep an eye on in a game with this much electricity surrounding it.
This game isn't going to be the blowout that many think in favor of the Seminoles. It should come down to the wire with both teams bringing everything that they have to the table.
Miami isn't a pushover team and they will be playing for the pride of their head coach. While Golden may not be living up to the expectations, the Hurricanes' football team still likes him. They don't like the disrespect that Florida State has been showing him and will use that as extra motivation.
All of that being said, Florida State is still the better football team in the end and should pull out the win. There is obviously upset potential in this game, but don't expect that to happen.
