Spoiler Alert: Tonight, two of Saturday Night Live's finest are reuniting. Bill Hader (Skeleton Twins) and Andy Samberg (something else beside SNL) are getting back together in the Season 3 premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Hader is replacing Andre Braugher as the new Captain of the Nine-Nine. Have now fear fans of Andre Braugher and Chelsea Peretti. The stern former captain and his sassy assistant are still on the series.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s Season 3 premiere episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, titled “New Captain,” reads:
“Season 2 begins with a new captain taking over after Holt is transferred to the public-relations department, but Jeffords has his hands full keeping chaos from reigning in the precinct. Meanwhile, Jake and Amy deal with the fallout of their kiss.”
Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-creator Dan Goor, reacently spoke to TVGuide about casting Bill Hader as the new captain:
"He has a different set of expectations that makes life at the precinct much harder.But also, Amy and Jake have just kissed, and they're trying to figure out what that means for their relationship."
