Nick Cannon Dating ‘AGT’ Contestant; Mariah Carey to Marry James Packer?

His affection certainly didn't translate into a voting landslide, but Nick Cannon is rumored to be dating America's Got Talent contestant Samantha Johnson. According to the latest gossip news updates, the cast and crew have known something was going on between the rapper and his new girlfriend for a while now, despite the pair supposedly trying to keep their affair a secret. Meanwhile, Mariah Carey too seems to have moved on since their marriage fell apart at the beginning of the year. It's said that the "Infinity" singer will likely be getting married to her new billionaire boyfriend, James Packer, just as soon as her divorce from the Wild N Out ladies' man is finalized.

The audience may not have been able to tell from their TV screens, but word has it that America's Got Talent host, Nick Cannon, has been romantically involved with former contestant, Samantha Johnson.

One source on the latest September 28, issue of Star magazine claims that behind-the-scenes everyone has known what was going on between Cannon and the 26-year-old aspiring singer for a hot minute:

"Everyone knew they were hooking up...Nick obsesses over how much she resembles [Mariah].

"He's gotten a kick out of comparing their smiles."

It is doubtful Mariah Carey cares what Nick has going on with the AGT hopefuls these days, however, being that Cannon's ex is said to be having the time of her life with new boyfriend, James Packer.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mariah admitted that she had recently seen the billionaire Aussie, and things had gone very well (via Hello!):

"It's fun, I'm not gonna lie. He's not joining me inside tonight, but we were together last night, so that was fun."

A friend of Mariah's told Hello! that it wouldn't come as a shock at all if Mariah announced she was getting married in the near future:

"James wants to marry her sooner rather than later, and she is very open to the idea."
