According to the latest gossip news updates, Mariah's new boyfriend was getting pretty handsy with Meares at a recent charity function they attended together in Sydney. Word has it that Mariah isn't about to give Packer a pass, despite his insane net worth. While Carey's personal life seems to be a tabloid hot topic, JP Morgan Chase and Forbes would rather talk about Nick Cannon business acumen.
It seems that James Packer's taking his ex-wife, Jodhi Meares -- instead of Mariah Carey -- to a charity event August 1, was one faux pas the tabloids won't soon let him forget.
In this weeks' August 31, edition of Star magazine, one supposed eyewitness even goes so far as to claim that the billionaire Aussie seemed to be trying to rekindle their old romance:
"James and his ex-wife Jodhi couldn't keep their hands off each other.
"They were acting like newlyweds."
Adding insult to injury, Jodhi posted a poem to Instagram the following day that seemed to suggest she still had serious feelings for James.
