War of the Planet of the Apes: Woody Harrelson a Perfect Fit for the Human Villain

Woody Harrelson has reportedly been picked to play the human villain in the War of the Planet of the Apes movie and is a perfect fit for the role.

The film will not reach the theaters until the summer of 2017, but cameras will begin rolling in October of this year in order to leave plenty of time for post-production work that comes with the Planet of the Apes series. Matt Reeves, the director of the upcoming movie, made the right decision by bringing Harrelson on board.

Harrelson will be playing a character called The Colonel in the movie, which appears to have a very large clash coming between humans and the apes. No other information has been released about The Colonel or the clash that is coming, but as past movies have shown the fans can expect to see something epic. Adding a personality like Harrelson is an ideal move to bring the perfect villain on board.

Excitement is building for War of the Planet of the Apes and adding an actor like Harrelson will simply make that excitement grow even more. He brings the type of intensity and experience to play his upcoming role well.

Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what the storyline is all about when the movie comes out. The title does seem to suggest that the human race will try to fully reclaim the planet, which would make Harrelson's character out to be the "bad guy" for the most part. That is a role that Harrelson will feed into and give a nice touch to.

Another new character that will be joining the cast will be the relatively unknown Gabriel Chavarria. This movie could be a huge break for Chavarria, although his role sounds like it will be fairly minor.

All of that being said, the movie cannot get here soon enough. Adding Harrelson to the cast is a huge step in the right direction and the movie certainly sounds like it will be a major hit at the box office. Don't be surprised if this is the best selling movie in the Apes series that has come out to this point in time.
