Matt Damon has committed blasphemy in the eyes of comic book fans everywhere, by daring to claim that there is someone could beat Batman. Everyone knows that in all of recorded history, be it film, or literature, the concept of anyone besting Batman has been a laughable notion. However, Damon sees it differently. The Martian actor recently had the nerve to put Bats on blast, claiming that his character Jason Bourne could take The Dark Knight in a fight. That also goes for Ben Affleck’s Batman. Could the superfriends be breaking up?
The Martian actor, Matt Damon, recently spoke to E! News while at the Toronto International Film Festival, where his Jason Bourne character, was pitted against his superfriend Ben Affleck’s Batman, to which he said:
"Jason Bourne would kick the s**t out of Batman--absolutely! Batman's gotta take on Superman first. If he could beat him than maybe he could take on Jason Bourne."
Damon still hasn’t read his good buddies Batman voice, admiting:
"I haven't been like, 'Come on, dude, just do it once. I haven't asked him to talk Batman yet, but now maybe I will."
Damon went on to discuss whether or not he had any superhero ambitions himself, adding:
"I think they're kind of out of superheroes. Ben's going to be like the sixth or seventh Batman, so I don't think there's really any left. So I'm good. Jason Bourne is my superhero."
