Salman Khan Training Hard to Give New Movie ‘Sultan’ Authentic Feel

Salman Khan is feeling the pain from training for his new film Sultan, but that is a good thing, as far he is concerned. The 49 year old mega-star has been training hard to get fit for when the cameras begin to roll. Khan had this to say at the launch of a fitness center, via The Indian Express,"In Sultan, I am a wrestler who goes into MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). It's a different league of fitness. I have been training for the past five days and my head, back and knee are hurting. Everything is hurting, actually. It's okay. After all, if there is no pain, there is no gain."

Khan has been in intense training for the role with Hollywood fight choreographer Larnell Stovall. These sessions have left Salman dead tired and aching all over . According to an article in The Indian Express, "The exhaustion first became evident when Salman Khan winced in pain while attending interviews after the launch of Bigg Boss 9 where he admitted that his body has been experiencing aches because of the new fitness regime that he has been training himself in." Sultan will see Salman Khan looking to consolidate on the worldwide popularity and love he was able to attain with mega hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Khan will have a battle on his hands with this one, though. Fellow Khan and good friend Aamir Khan is currently shooting Dangal, also a film with a wrestling theme to it. Though it is currently on hiatus due to the FWICE strike. Khan isn't worried about its success however. From another article in The Indian Express, Khan was philosophical, "If it has to work it will work and if it doesn't have to work, it will not. Our job is to do our best, our job is to work, publicise it as much as we can, and hope fans really enjoy the film. After that, it is up to the fans that they go and watch it if like it or not,"
