While it has been apparent for some time that their marriage was unsalvageable, Kris Jenner's dropping her ex-husband's last name marks the end of an era. According to the latest gossip news updates, the former Mrs. Bruce Jenner hasn't legally return to her Kardashian surname just yet, but the Keeping Up with the Kardashian reality TV matriarch is said to have already started using the handle in all her business dealings. Of course, Kris might just be waiting until she has to change her name yet again, as she is rumored to strongly be considering marrying her new boyfriend, Corey Gamble.
It might seem a bit of a cold blooded move given the two daughters they share together, but Kris Jenner is said to be planning to change her name back to Kardashian.
One source in the latest September 14, issue of In Touch Weekly, insists, however, that Kris' decision is motivated by money -- not revenge:
"[Kris] says it's time to dump 'Jenner' and rebrand herself.
"Kardashian is the core name associated with her family's brand. Put Simply, Kris thinks the name will bring more bang for the buck."
According to the insider, Kris has already started to set things in motion to officially have her name changed and in the meantime has already started using 'Kardashian' in his business correspondence:
"She's begun the paperwork to legally change her last name...[and] she's already altered her stationary and letterhead to reflect her new name."
Although Kris decision to drop the 'Jenner' brand certainly could be motivated by money, the family's momager explains to Caitlyn in the latest I Am Cait, that she doesn't exactly like the idea of their marriage seemingly meaning so little to the transgender reality star either (via HollywoodLife):
"You're sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life but you're just not sensitive and amazing to the family you left behind.
"When you feel like you gave your whole life to somebody. And the sum of it all was you were a distraction."
Even though her last marriage might not have ended the way she would have liked, Kris Jenner isn't said to be holding it against the institution as a whole.
Someone claiming to be a family spy reveals in the latest OK! Magazine that Kris is ready to walk down the aisle once again:
"Kris absolutely head-over-heels for Corey and wants to become his wife before the year is out.
"She told Corey she wants a grand, fantasy proposal -- and she wants it filmed."
