Odell Beckham Jr. Primed for Huge 2015 Season With New York Giants

The New York Giants drafted Odell Beckham Jr. last season in the 2014 NFL Draft and saw him break out with a huge rookie season. Now, heading into his second NFL season, Beckham is primed for a huge season. He is one of the best wide receivers in the league and is looking to cement that fact.

Eli Manning saw his career turn back around with Beckham as his top receiver last year and the second-year receiver is already dominating every Giants' practice.

Needless to say, this kind of news isn't all that surprising after seeing the way that Beckham dominated opponents all of last season. He combines extreme athleticism with a drive and physicality that makes him nearly impossible for any opposing defensive back to defend against. New York views him as a franchise caliber player and he certainly helped back that up last year.

Assuming he can continue playing the way that he has started the year in practice, the second-year receiver is going to vault himself into superstardom. He is already being talked about with the likes of Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones as the league's top receiver, which is impressive in and of itself.

Not only is his fame on the field beginning to grow quickly, he also replaced former star safety Troy Polamalu as the Head and Shoulders pitchman.

During the 2014 season with the Giants, Beckham caught 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. Those numbers came in a season where Beckham missed four games, which means that he could have put up even bigger numbers than he did.

There is no question that an entire offseason of hard work will pay off for Beckham this season with the Giants. They are going to be creating their offensive plan around him each and every week and opposing defenses are going to have an extremely difficult time countering those plans.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what kind of stat line Beckham puts up during the 2015 season. Manning and Beckham were on the same page at the end of last season and this offseason will simply make them more dangerous together. Beckham made some ridiculously difficult catches look easy, which is exactly what made him such an entertaining presence on the field.

Expect to see Beckham take his game to the next level this season and prove that he is deserving of being debated as the top receiver in the league. New York isn't expected to be a playoff contender, but they won't be a boring team to watch or a pushover as long as Beckham lives up to his full potential.
