It has barely been five months since Robin Thicke finalized his divorce from ex-wife, Paula Patton, and already he is said to be getting married again. According to the latest gossip news updates, the "Blurred Lines" singer is engaged to his new girlfriend, April Love, despite her being almost 20-years his junior. In a related story, Robin revealed that he now feels especially embarrassed by all his public pleas to win back his ex and wishes he had given away all the copies of Paula instead of asking money for them.
While they certainly took their time coming out as a couple, word has it that Robin Thicke is absolutely smitten with his new 20-year-old girlfriend, April Love.
One source from the latest August 17, issue of Life & Style explains that although they might have been born a couple generations apart, Robin can't stand the idea of spending the rest of his life without April by his side (via NYDailyNews):
"Robin recently proposed to April and she said yes.
"They plan to wed within the next few months...He's totally obsessed with her.
"He doesn't want to risk losing her."
Fans of Thicke's music might remember all his in concert dedications designed to win back Patton's affections from a year or so ago, but Robin told Us Weekly, that he was doing his best to forget all about it.
Thicke claimed that he really didn't realize how bad all his groveling looked until a friend told him how he really came off begging to be forgiven on stage every night:
"I came home, and my best friend of 20 years, Craig Crawford, said, 'I saw your BET performance.'
"'I got to be honest with you, buddy. You're kind of playing yourself. You look like a sucker.'"
According to Robin, he doesn't regret putting out his album Paula to try to convince Patton to take him back, but Thicke claims that if he had it to do all over again, he wouldn't have even bothered putting a price tag on the failed album:
"In hindsight, the only thing I would have done differently was, I wouldn't have promoted it or sold it. I would have given it away.
"That would have kept the purity of the message intact."
What do you think about Thicke's post-divorce regrets?
Should Robin have thought more about how he came off before he started making a fool of himself in public night-after-night?
Or, was it sweet to finally see Thicke being honest about his feelings for Paula?
