October is almost here and with it comes The Walking Dead. Every year around this time we start to hear some depressing report of one the main cast members getting arrested, killed off or actually dying. If you took most of the reports seriously, Norman Reedus would have died about 20 times now. Like clockwork there are new rumors about the Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Chandler Riggs (Carl), claiming that the two died, and the show has now been canceled. Could this rumor be different from the rest. Are the newest real or fake.
Don’t be fooled by everything you see on Facebook. Andrew Lincoln and Chandler Riggs are just fine. The news that has spreading all over social media is from the prank site Feednewz.com.
A simalar report by Empire News started up last year, claiming that a horrific accident took place on the set. :
“A small explosive charge used to simulate gunfire went off inside co-star Andrew Lincoln’s backpack during filming and exploded, hitting Reedus, who was said to have been standing behind Lincoln at the time of the accident. Lincoln, who plays the part of Rick Grimes on the show, suffered only minor injuries.”
However, if you take a closer look you will find that Empire News is actually a satirical site that features user generated hoax articles.
The website offers an offical disclaimer that reads:
“Empire News is a satirical and entertainment website. We only use invented names in all our stories, except in cases when public figures are being satirized. Any other use of real names is accidental and coincidental.”
