There was one big money jackpot winner for this past Friday’s (July 31) Mega Millions lottery jackpot. That means that this week’s drawing total has changed. Check the report below for an update on the winner and this week’s new total.
The current Mega Millions website is reporting on this weekend’s big win, writing:
“An estimated $25 million Mega Millions jackpot was won in Missouri on Friday night, as one ticket matched all six numbers drawn on July 31 – the white balls 28, 32, 33, 40 and 46, plus the Mega Ball of 10. It marks the first time a Missouri winner has won a Mega Millions jackpot since the state joined the game in 2010.
“It is the sixth jackpot won this year, following earlier wins in Illinois (January 16 and June 2), New York (February 27 and March 24) and Pennsylvania (July 21).”
That is not all. The Mega Millions lottery also gave away a smaller scale prize, as the site goes on to report:
“Also in Friday’s drawing, a ticket sold in Ohio matched the five white balls to win $1 million.”
That means that week’s game total has dropped down to $15 million with the estimated cash value option of $9 million.
