Despite the fact that she virtually made a name for herself obscenely twerking alongside Robin Thicke at the event a few years back, Wendy Williams thinks that it was a big mistake getting Mile Cyrus to host the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. According to BET's talk show gossip queen, Hanna Montana's taste cannot be trusted. Conversely, however, the former radio DJ turned stand-up comedienne had nothing but nice things to say about America's Got Talent judge, Heidi Klum. Apparently, after seeing how hot the 42-year-old looked wearing next to nothing in the ad campaign for her latest lingerie line, Wendy didn't have the strength to throw shade.
While plenty of her devoted fans are excited to see what kind of insane debauchery Miley Cyrus is going to bring to this year's Video Music Awards, Wendy Williams thinks that it's probably going to be disastrous.
In her latest contribution to the August 10, Life & Style magazine, Wendy explains that what might have been fine for a 3-and-a-half-minute live performance is just not going to work for the entirety of the show:
"If her twerking spectacle at the 2013 VMAs taught us anything, it's that Miley has no problem crossing the line of distaste.
"As host, she has it keep it classier.
"If I were her, I'd make sure I get not just a second, but a third opinion on everything she plans this year!"
Williams may be unimpressed with the way Miley Cyrus forces her sexuality on people, Wendy seems to really admire the way Heidi Klum presents her near-nude body.
After taking a look at her latest add campaign for her own clothing line, Williams couldn't help but doff her hat to the America's Got Talent bombshell:
"For a 42-year-old mother who's has such a long career, Heidi Klum looks terrific modeling lingerie from her new intimates line.
"There are plenty of women her age who opt for sweatpants or granny panties.
"Keep flaunting what you've got, girl!"
It's that knack for calling it just like she sees it that has folks so eager to work with Williams outside of her talk show niche.
Discovery Networks, group president, Henry Schleiff, explained to Variety that the reason the Investigation Discovery network was attracted to the idea of working with Williams, had to do with her ability to relate to an audience on their basest levels:
"There's nobody better than the daring diva of daytime, Wendy Williams, to offer this cautionary tale to those who indulge in chatter and innuendo.
"Jealousy, drama and betrayal -- no one tells those tales like ID, and now with Wendy on board, our arsenal of homegrown experts has grown that much more entertaining."
What do you think?
Do you agree with Wendy Williams opinions about Miley Cyrus and Heidi Klum?
Or, is the day time talk show host really off base in this case?
