Ellen DeGeneres and Wife Portia de Rossi to Re-Marry in TV Wedding? [NEWS]

While the supermarket tabloids can't seem to decide whether or not Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are the epitome of the perfect couple or are on the very precipice of divorce, this week the Hollywood gossip mill seems to think things are on an real upswing. According to the latest gossip news updates, the daytime time talk show host is so enamored with her wife that she wants to marry the Scandal actress all over again. Although renewing their vows would certainly be special enough, Ellen is also said to be planning on recording the big event for TV.

Although the National Enquirer, or one of their peers, have no doubt reported that Ellen DeGeneres marriage to Portia de Rossi was absolutely doomed in the past, the tabloid now insists that the 57-year-old comedienne wants to renew their wedding vows in an elaborate ceremony that she is hoping to tape for television:

"Ellen thinks a big gay wedding on TV would be a huge hit.

"She believes that more than 20 million American viewers could tune in, with millions more overseas!

"She can also stream it on her Internet channel, EllenTube."

According to the source relaying this ridiculous story, Ellen thinks the wedding will be every bit as beneficial to her career as her personal life:

"Ellen's convinced she can make a bundle on such a special, and show everyone that her marriage to Portia is rock solid and better than ever!"

Even though it probably won't pay to hold your breath waiting on that televised wedding -- or even EllenTube for that matter -- Ellen promises that her Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dora, is just around the corner.

DeGeneres explained that while she too feels a little frustrated on how long we've all had to wait for the new film, she thinks, in the end, it will have been well worth the wait (via Ecumenical News):

"I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16.

"But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is-it's got a lot more Dory."

Not that their reporting has gotten more accurate, but it's still kind of nice to see the tabloids finally taking a break from tearing down Ellen and Portia's marriage for a change.
