Although it makes very little rational sense, word has it that the powers that be at ABC are purposefully trying to turn their audience against Kaitlyn Bristowe. According to the latest gossip news updates, the TV show's producers are so upset with the Season 11 Bachelorette's behind-the-scenes antics that they are editing the footage to emphasize their lead's sexual appetite. Whether it has been their intention all along or not, Bristowe recently explained publicly that the online bullying she was dealing with thanks to her TV persona had to stop. Kaitlyn's open-letter drew the attention of Season 18 Bachelor winner, Nikki Ferrell, who came out to support Bristowe -- explaining that she too had to deal with death threats just for dating Juan Pablo Galavis.
If you are a Bachelorette fan that finds themselves disliking Kaitlyn Bristowe more than her predecessors, there very well may be a very reasonable explanation for that.
According to one source in the latest August 3, issue of OK! Magazine, the producers of the Bachelorette are so annoyed with Kaitlyn's high-maintenance antics that they are cutting the show to make sure that she will be disliked -- even though that is bound to have a far more detrimental effect on the franchise in the long term than it ever would for Bristowe:
"Kaitlyn has made things difficult form day one...You'd think she was an Oscar-winning actress.
"They usually protect the bachelorettes form looking too sex-crazed, but producers actually gave Kaitlyn more opportunities to let loose but moving the overnight dates to come before the hometown visits.
"They realized that her promiscuity wouldn't sit well with the viewers, and that's exactly why they amped up her sleepover with Nick Viall."
In an in depth open letter Kaitlyn addressed all the hate that has been coming her way through social media forums like Instagram and Twitter -- pointing out that perhaps it's time people consider everyone that might read the little hate filled message they leave for her (via HollywoodLife):
"I encourage anyone with children to be more aware of their social media activity, and of the way that they treat others.
"Are they aware that they are spreading hate, and suggesting I am a bad role model, while they are preaching tasteless behavior to their little ones at such an impressionable age?"
While all Nikki Ferrell only ever really seemed guilty of accepting the affection of Juan Pablo Galavis, the Season 18 Bachelor winner came out in support of Bristowe on Twitter -- noting that she too received death threats for merely appearing in the reality TV limelight (via Inquisitr):
"As someone who experienced it myself, I am glad The Bachelorette shed light on the hate spread on social media.
"Stay strong Kaitlyn Bristowe."
So remember to treat reality stars with respect no matter how awful the producers may have edited them to appear on TV.
