‘Today’ Show Matt Lauer Talks to Brain Williams: Katie Couric Marriage News

It seems that disgraced NBC News anchor Brain Williams if willing to admit to the Today show's Matt Lauer that he did in fact lie time-and-time again when talking about this adventures in Iraq, but doesn't think that you should hold it against him in the future. According to the latest gossip news updates, Brian Williams says that he examined, dissected and fixed the darkness inside him that caused him to inadvertently mislead the country, therefore, he reasons, it's okay to trust him again. In a related story, former Today show cohost and current Yahoo! World News anchor, Katie Couric is said to be as happily married at this time as she was when she first tied the knot with husband, John Molner, a year ago.

Sure, Brain Williams knows that it was wrong to exaggerate about his level of involvement in a helicopter attack in Iraq back in 2003, but the dedicated journalist explained to Matt Lauer that he doesn't think people should hold it against him.

In a recent interview on the Today show, Williams explained that he has takien every step necessary to ensure that nothing like that will ever happen to him again (via Washington Post):

"I would like to take this opportunity to say that what has happened, in the past, has been identified and torn apart by me.

"[It] and has been fixed...has been dealt with.

"I am sorry for what happened here [at NBC], and I am different as a result."

While Brain Williams is desperately trying to hold onto his career and his integrity, Matt Lauer's old co-host, Katie Couric, has been having the time of her life -- married to John Molner.

One source claiming to be close to the newlyweds in the July 6, issue of Closer explained that after a year of marriage, Katie and John still act as though they are on their honey moon:

"They really enjoy each other's company, and Katie loves having a partner to come home to and have date nights with.

"She finally feels like she finally has it all balanced."

Maybe if things don't work out with NBC News, Katie can hook Brian Williams up with something over there at Yahoo!.
