It seems that all may be fair in war and reality television, but that doesn't mean the Black Eyed Peas frontman, Will.i.am, has to like it. According to the latest gossip news updates, The Voice UK coach is none too pleased with Simon Cowell seemingly stealing Rita Ora away to join the X Factor at the last minute. Word has it that former One Direction member Zayn Malik is also currently unimpressed with the Britain's Got Talent showrunner and is thinking of leaving Syco for the greener pastures of Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's G Unit Records.
It seems pretty clear at this point that Simon Cowell can just grease a few wheels of his enormously successful entertainment company and come up with enough cash to hire pretty much anyone he wants, but word has it that Voice UK coach Will.i.am is really starting to hate him for it.
The behind-the-scenes source that Heat magazine spoke to insists that the world famous Black Eyed Pea was recently brought to his breaking point when Simon swooped in at the last minute with his unspeakably gigantic pile of money and whisked Rita Ora away to be a judge on the X Factor (via Metro):
"He's not happy with Si taking Rita, or the flashy way he did it.
"Will feels like Simon lured her away."
According to reality TV expert Boyd Hilton, Simon couldn't care less about hurting the competition when and wherever he can -- regardless of how upset it might make Will.i.am:
"Simon will be thrilled at nicking Rita. He loves making life hard for his rival shows.
"The Voice now has to find its third new judge, sorry, 'coach' in as many years."
Meanwhile, hip hop mogul Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has been trying to convince former One Direction boy band member Zayn Malik that he also needs to come to terms with the idea that Simon Cowell just may not be able to make him the same mountains of cash that he could virtually guarantee him.
Jackson admitted that it was true he was trying to lure Zayn away from Cowell, but only because he really thought it would be the best thing for him (via Mirror):
"I want it to happen. I can make him a lot of money and he can make me a lot of money. The point I am making is he needs to be working with the right producers, artists, and people in the genre.
"Some of the pop star rappers are a little cringe, and he doesn't want that."
Regardless of whatever happens with 50 Cent and Zayn Malik, it's probably best for Will.i.am's mental health if he just stops comparing himself to Simon Cowell altogether.
