Laruen Silverman Fiancé Simon Cowell Calls Jeremy Clarkson Stupid after ‘X Factor’ NZ Fired Judges for Bullying [GOSSIP NEWS]

Even though Simon Cowell thinks that the BBC should cut Top Gear co-host Jeremy Clarkson some slack given his apology, the Britain's Got Talent producer does admit that his friend's actions were pretty stupid. According to the latest gossip news updates, The X Factor New Zealand fired judges Natalie Kills and Willy Moon after needlessly bullying a contestant live on air for dressing in a suit and tie. The network responsible for broadcasting the TV show to the Kiwis promptly let the two go following a very public backlash. Word has it that Lauren Silverman's opinionated fiancé already issued a warning to spin-off series after they aired one episode that featured a convicted murderer as a contestant.

Given his immense popularity and penchant for off the air hijinks, Simon Cowell thinks that his BBC buddy, Jeremy Clarkson, should have been dealt with a little less harshly following his latest Top Gear scandal but doesn't have any problem acknowledging that presenter ultimately brought a lot of this latest trouble on himself.

Si told the Mirror that Clarkson's behavior was unacceptable, but given the fact he's already apologized, perhaps, it wasn't worth losing millions of viewers the world over:

"I like Jeremy. He has said some stupid things and he knows that, but he's apologized.

"I think what's quite obvious is the public are behind him. But you know, that's Jeremy."

Cowell didn't do anything to stop the immediate sacking of Willy Moon and wife Matalie Kills from The X Factor New Zealand, however, after the classless judges mercilessly attacked a contestant on the air for having the audacity to were a suit during his nationwide television debut -- which the couple felt was Moon's thing.

The CEO of Media Works, Mark Weldon, who is ultimately responsible for the all content on the TV3 network in New Zealand told The Guardian that Kills and Moon went well beyond what is considered responsible behavior, during their short lived tenure on the program:

"While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges.

"Contestants put their all into this competition and they should expect to receive feedback and criticism that is professional and constructive."

So if Jeremy Clarkson does wind up having to leave the BBC at least there is a job opening for him in down in New Zealand.
