Although Prince Harry made a few headlines this week for retiring from the military after ten years of service, the most buzz generated around the royal came courtesy of the U.S. tabloids who claimed that Prince Harry is engaged to his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Cressida Bonas. This isn't the only reason that Prince Harry finds himself in the news. A new report suggests that Prince Harry's net worth, along with the salary he receives from Prince Charles, was made public. This latest report comes after Prince Harry received a tremendous amount of praise for his interaction with a family that has a terminally ill child.
Given Prince Harry's mother, it's no surprise that he, too, would focus on helping as many people as he can.
That was certainly the case this week, when Harry reached out to grieving parents who lost their child. According to Hello Magazine, Prince Harry met with the young child before he passed:
"Prince Harry has penned a heartfelt letter of condolence to the parents of Carson Hartley, a terminally ill young boy who passed away at the beginning of June. Harry had met the five-year-old at an awards ceremony last year, and in his message, the prince recalled the lad's 'tremendous spirit'...Addressing the letter to Carson's grieving parents Kirsty and Damian, Harry expressed his sorrow and offered his deepest condolences."
It's great to see Prince Harry reach out to the less fortunate, especially considering how fortunate Harry is to be born a royal.
Clarence House recently revealed their findings in the Annual Review of Prince Charles' expenditures. It turns out that Prince Charles loves to spoil his children.
While an exact breakdown of how much money Harry receives remains unknown, E! News tells readers that Prince Harry, Prince William and Princess Kate all split around $5 million on "official royal duties:"
"Per the report, £2.965 million (the equivalent of about $4.667 million) in funds are allocated toward funding the 'official activities' of William, Kate and Harry. The palace didn't provide a breakdown of exactly how these funds are spent (i.e. how much goes towards paying staff, travel costs, wardrobe, etc.), so we can't really know exactly how much Kate's recycled outfits are helping preserve the family fortune!"
What do you think of the latest reports? Were you touched by Harry's correspondence? Do you think there's any chance Harry is really engaged to Cressida Bonas?
