The August issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is announcing the new story details for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super series. The story will take place shortly after the decisive battle with Majin Buu and will tie directly into the Resurrection 'F' film. The characters of Beerus and Whis will return from Battle of God's and Resurrection 'F' films, as well as series regulars.
The magazine also contains a preview of the first episode's story -- "After defeating Majin Buu, life is peaceful once again. Ordered by Chi-chi to earn money, Goku works even as he wants to train even more. Meanwhile, Goten, about to become a brother-in-law to Videl, sets out on a journey with Trunks to find her a present."
The show's official website unveiled its main promo image on Monday. The artwork features Beerus and Whis, as well as two unnamed characters who very much resemble the two. Character designs and cast confirmation is on the DragonBall website as well.
The website has been totally updated and revamped in preparation for the show which premieres July 5. The updates feature the new artwork for the series as well. Cast and crew information can be found on the upcoming serious as well as what else is going on in the DragonBall world. There is also a comic section amongst all the rest of the goodies. It will feature the official adaptation of the new series. Also to note is Funimation Studios, the ones that handle the Engish language dubbing of the film, plan to release the film into more theaters later this summer to coincide with the premiere of the series.
It is certainly turning into a Dragon Ball summer. I hope you are excited.
