WWE legend, Stone Cold Steve Austin, has been very busy while being retired. The former heavyweight champion has gone on record saying that the main draw for next year's WrestleMania 32 should be himself versus Brock Lesnar. Austin has never faced Lesnar and wants a shot next year if everything falls into place. Though retired from the ring, Austin has stayed busy. He recently joined the Kawasaki Motors Corp as a spokesperson for their marketing campaign.
With next year's WrestleMania being held in the Rattlesnake's home state of Texas, Austin knows what kind of headlining event going up against Lesnar would be. The Denver Post tells of the Paul Heyman podcast in which Austin was the guest and was asked if facing Lesnar at WrestleMania would bring him out of retirement:
"If I was going to fight Brock Lesnar, I'd beat his ass, and you know that as well as I do, Paul. ... I'm not saying I'm going to, but I think you know how this is going to go down. I don't think he'd want to take all the momentum, all the good stuff that you guys have done and then to roll into 105,000 people to Texas Stadium, AT&T, Cowboy Stadium, whatever you call it, and get his ass smoked.
The return of Austin and the match at WrestleMania are still just speculative, but even in retirement, Austin is still a major draw. Kawasaki Motors realized this and added Austin to their roster of sports stars that represent the company. Wrestle Zone has the press release from Kawasaki introducing their new employee:
"Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is announcing today that Steve Austin has joined the Kawasaki STRONG family as brand ambassador. Austin, a Pro Wrestling Hall of Famer, action movie star as well as TV and radio personality will be appearing in upcoming Kawasaki MULETM PRO-series advertising and marketing campaigns. He will also be featured in Kawasaki's online properties and make special appearances at upcoming events."
