Pregnant New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is moving onward and upwards. Deschanel is shedding her “adorkable” image and going full on rockstar in the new Rock the Kasbah. The trailer for the new Barry Livingston film, starring Deschanel, Bill Murray, Danny McBride and Bruce Willis was just released. Deschanel has also just sold her home that used to belong to Avengers Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo. Check out the report below for a look at the new film and all the details on her house sale.
According to LATimes, Deschanel sold her home for $2.33 million, 6 percent over the asking price of $2.195 million. Back in 2009 Deschanel bought the home from Avengers star Mark Ruffalo for a meager $1.65 million.
The new film and the change of address could mark a much bigger change for Deschanel who is looking to shed her “adorkable” image as she recently told The Huffington Post :
"I don’t always identify, perhaps, with the way that I’m portrayed in certain public contexts. I try to stay away from that sort of thing. That was something that was calculated, you know what I mean? That was our marketing department at Fox and they did a really good job with our first season, but that's a word that describes the character that I play, not me. I don’t personally have identification with that word myself."
