Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe Defends Nick Viall; Contestant Marriage Revealed?

For her part in the matter, Kaitlyn Bristowe fully understands why The Bachelorette's Season 11 contestants are none to please at the arrival of Andi Dorman's runner-up Nick Viall, but recently explained that she had a relationship with the Season 9 Casanova before she was really seriously being considered as the 2015 lead, so it was only fair that she gave him a shot. According to the latest gossip news updates, Corey Stansell's chances of avoiding elimination may plummet if Kaitlyn ever learns of the failed marriage that he's reportedly been keeping secret during his time on the show.

ABC's Season 11 Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe understands that despite her attempt to couch it the best that she could, Nick Viall's arrival was going to go over about as well as the Hindenburg.

Josh Murray's ex explained to E! News that the contestants did their level best to hide their true feelings, but it didn't take a mind reader to tell that most of the fellas were pretty upset (via BuddyTV):

"They were confused, shocked, some were really supportive.

"For the majority of them, they were not impressed. Understandably."

That being said, Kaitlyn went on to explain that despite their relationship before the show never once seeming romantic, after she became The Bachelorette Nick reconsidered his stance on dating her:

"We had a friendship before I came on and had that chance of being the Bachelorette, and we had talked a lot and had this connection that we both only understood as a friendship.

"After I was gone, I guess he was missing that friendship and thinking maybe it was more than just a friendship connection."

As insidious as Nick's real motives may very well be at least he doesn't secretly have an ex-wife that he is trying to keep the Bachelorette audience from finding out about.

A behind-the-scenes source with production explains in the June 15, issue of Star magazine that it seemed Corey Stansell was desperately trying to keep his failed marriage from becoming a story line on the show, but doubted very much that that would be able to go on forever:

"Usually, when a contestant on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette has had a broken marriage, it become dramatic material for the series, even in some small way.

"It's interesting that this isn't he case when it comes to Corey -- though he'd have to expect that there would be a good chance of the story coming out after he signed up for the series."

What does it matter either way with Nick Viall swooping in last minute to seemingly try to have his way with The Bachelorette, only to brag about it later at the reunion just like last time?
