Asa Butterfield might be rumored to play the next Peter Parker, but there is still hope that we might see a Miles Morales version of Spider-Man in the MCU sometime soon. Recently, Walking Dead Noah actor Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris) revealed that he was in talks with Marvel to play the role. However, he might have some competition from Donald Glover. The Childish Gambio rapper opened up about possibly playing a live action version of the character.
During a recent interview with Flicks and the City, Tyler James Williams, opened up about the possibility of him being cast as Spider-Man Miles Morales (via Yahoo.com):
"I kind of follow the Miles Morales character quite a bit. And I'm open to the idea, I am. I'm not starting campaigns or anything for it because I trust Marvel. I've read for them before. So I trust what their decisions will be. But yeah, I'd love to do it. I would absolutely love to do it."
Tyler James Williams also let slip that Jaden Smith will be playing Static Shock in an DC’s upcoming live action webseries”
“It's great to see Static Shock is happening with Jaden."
Former Community star and Childish Gambino actor Donald Glover is also rumored to be up for the role of Miles Morales. Earlier in the year, Donald appeared on NBC’s Today, where he addressed the rumors:
"I can't say I'm the next Spider-Man.. I can't say that[I’m not] either. I mean, it's not out yet...There's been talkings about it...I mean, I'd be honored to play it. It's really not up to me….”
