CW Canceled ‘Messengers’ and New ‘Arrow’ ‘Flash’ Spin-Off ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Premiere Update

Tonight, The CW’s Messengers is all new with the first of the final three episodes. The CW recently canceled the series due to low ratings. The network also recently picked up the Arrow and Flash spin-off Legends of Tomorrow. Check the report below for a look at tonight’s all new episode of The Messengers and an update on the premiere of Legends of Tomorrow.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of The Messengers, titled “Metamorphosis,” reads:

“All of the Messengers search for the Second Horseman. Meanwhile, Erin realizes her gift comes at a cost; and Alan and Vera are determined to unearth the secrets of the genesis stone.”

Sadly for fans of the The Messengers, there will not be a second season. The CW has canceled the show.

There are still two more episodes of The Messengers, following tonight’s new episode.

The CW has officially renewed The 100, The Flash, iZombie, Jane the Virgin, Arrow, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. The network has also picked up the new Arrow and Flash spin-off, Legends of Tomorrow, featuring Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, A.K.A. one half of Firestorm.

Recently, Victor Garber opened up to Broadway World about the premiere of the new series:

"We haven't filmed any of it yet, but it is going straight to series. We start filming in August and it will be on in January...They are going to unveil more details about it soon. I believe they are going to do something for it in May at the upfronts".
