Psy's 2015 New Album 'Daddy' Delayed, Unhappy With Music [RUMORS]

YG Entertainment’s most popular artist, Psy, has decided to delay his latest album so he can seek a new direction that will appear to a wider audience, reported the K-Pop Herald. News of the delay and Big Bang’s new album threaten to screw up YG Entertainment’s release schedule.

Psy, for his part, is reportedly adding hip-hop elements to his upcoming album in an effort to gain a wider swath of fans in the U.S. The singer has said that his new album will sound very different from his previous songs. No word either if Psy will include the song “Daddy,” long rumored to be the title track of his next album.

From the very beginning, rumors have been swirling about the “Gangnam Style” singer’s unhappiness with his new album.

"Psy was not satisfied with the work he had done so far and decided to drop the album and start over,” an official with knowledge of how Psy works noted.

Touring has fragmented work on the album and Psy’s unhappiness with his sound has pushed it back even further.

"Psy is currently working on new songs, including 'Daddy.' As he will be working until he is satisfied with the songs, the exact comeback period has not been decided. It looks like his new album will not be released this year,” said Y & G Entertainment executive last year

Whatever the case and whenever the album does come out, Psy will hope that the record buying public has not passed him by and they are ready to move on beyond “Gangnam Style.”
