Iron Mike has been a man of many faces, literally. The man who once dominated the boxing game in the late 80s, had legal issues in the 90s, and even took a bite out of Evander Holyfield's ear, is going back to the late career resurgence he has had as an actor. Tyson has been granted a significant acting role in and upcoming kung fu biopic. Even though he has been spending his time lately becoming an actor, Mike still found time to talk about his past love of boxing and the current state it finds itself in with multiple title holder Floyd Mayweather leading the pack.
Mayweather is known for being a great trash talker, but Tyson couldn't allow any more of that trash to spill out of Floyd's mouth. This is especially true when Maywerather said he is a greater fighter than Ali. Yahoo explains the frustration Tyson expressed to Undisputed Champion Network:
"He's very delusional. He can't listen. If he was anywhere near that realm of greatness with Ali, he'd be able to take his children to school by himself. He can't take his children to school by himself and you're talking about he's great? Greatness is not guarding himself from the people. Greatness is being accepted by the people."
With the boxing world calming down after the Mayweather/Pacquiao bout, Tyson is ready to take on his next opponent: serious acting. Tyson has been cast as property developer and street fighter for the kung fu movie Ip Man 3. The plot of the film according to Variety:
"The film is the final instalment of a biopic of martial arts ace and one time mentor of Bruce Lee, Ip Man."
Will this be the serious role that helps Tyson gain acting credibility? Do you believe Tyson is correct in his statement about Floyd Mayweather and Muhammad Ali? Tell us below what you think.
