29-year old Ryan Chesley must have thought he was going crazy when he saw Mike Tyson at his side after almost getting taken out by a taxi. Iron Mike may have saved Chesley's life on a Las Vegas Interstate, but the motorcycle crash victim said he thought he was hallucinating.
Ryan Chesley was reportedly cut off by a taxi while riding a motorcycle, and as a result, went down. But Iron Mike just happened to be nearby when he came to the man's aid.
Later, Chesley reportedly sent Tyson a hand-written thank you note along with a fruit basket. He was going to send chocolates, but Tyson's assistant Steve Lott said that Tyson's on a health kick (via ABC News):
"Thank you so much for looking over me after my accident. It has to be the most reassuring thing in the world to have Mike Tyson telling people not to touch me."
According to Chesley's attorney, Stephen Stubbs, the sight of Tyson coming to his aid must have seemed unreal (via Independent UK):
"He thought he was hallucinating. He thought he was in some other world."
Stubbs went on to say that Tyson didn't make a big deal about being a Good Samaritan- he just did the right thing (via New York Daily News):
"He didn't know what was happening. (Mike) just stood by him and talked to him. When he was done with the good deed, he just took off."
