CBS has officially picked up the all new Limitless TV series for the fall 2015-2016 lineup. It gets even better. Bradley Cooper will reprise his role from the film in the sequel series. The show picks up from where the 2011 movie left off, with Cooper’s character Eddie Morra now a U.S. Senator. Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb is directing the pilot, replacing Neil Burger as director. The new show stars Bradley Cooper’s American Sniper co-star, Jake McDorman (Shameless) as Brian Finch.
The official IMDB profile for the original film, reads:
“With the help of a mysterious pill that enables the user to access 100 percent of his brain abilities, a struggling writer becomes a financial wizard, but it also puts him in a new world with lots of dangers.”
The official CBS description of the new series, reads:
“Picking up post the events of the film, a man discovers the power of a mysterious drug which allows him to access 100% of his brain, and he is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities for good.”
Bradley Cooper will guest star in the pilot and will reportedly return as much as possible. Bradley Cooper will also serve as executive producer of the series.
The show is written by Medium vet Craig Sweeny. Limitless is scheduled for to air Tuesday night’s at 10:00 p.m. eastern time.
