Tonight, NBC’s Law & Order: SVU is all new with the second to last episode of Season 16. The long running series has been renewed for a 17th season. L&O:SVU alongside the Chicago trio Fire/PD/Med, make creator Dick Wolf the undisputed King of NBC. Check the report below to see what is store for Liv and the rest of the SVU in tonight’s penultimate episode.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Law & Order: SVU, titled “Parents' Nightmare,” reads:
“A little boy is kidnapped from school and a ransom request is made. Detectives soon uncover that the boy knew his abductor, but friction between his parents impedes the investigation. Meanwhile, Benson must take an exam to formalize her promotion.”
Law & Order: SVU has been renewed for Season 17, and Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise is expanding with a second Chicago Fire spin-off, Chicago Med.
Recently, Chicago Fire/PD showrunner Matt Olmstead opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about what it is like to work with the legendary Dick Wolf:
“You don't last as long as he has and have the success that he's had without having some sharp elbows. I've known people that have been fired off of Law & Order, and you hear the stories, and it didn't dissuade me at all. He's result-oriented, and so as long as it's getting done, he's a super-loyal guy. People who work with him, assistants and people in his company, have been here for 20-plus years. He just wants to win. He wants to have good material, and as long as that's happening, he's a pleasant person to work with. I'd heard stories coming in and I've never seen that side of him in the four years I've been here.”
Be sure to check out the all new episode of Law & Order: SVU, tonight at 9:00 p.m. eastern on NBC.
