After her previous relationship (and breakup) with Kings' XI Punjab Cricket Team co-owner, Ness Wadia, blew up and was splashed all over the tabloids, actress Preity Zinta has made the decision to keep her private life...well, private. However, The Veer Zaara star made it clear she is ready to settle down and plan a wedding with a nice man soon.
"I would love to settle down like anybody but now I prefer to keep my relationship to myself. I don't think I would be somebody who will advertise him and publicize my personal life. I feel there are few things that is not the press' business. They get too much hype unnecessarily," a guarded Preity told PTI interview (via IBN Live).
Last year, Preity filed suit against her former boyfriend, accusing him of assaulting her. Co-owner of the Punjab cricket team with her ex, the actress took to Facebook to speak about her relationship with Ness and the reason she filed suit against him.
For her part, Preity is also changing course in her life as well. Managing the business side of the Punjab team took all of Preity's attention and acting had to be put on the backburner. It was a new venture and Preity took it upon herself to make sure it was a viable concern. Cricket took up her full attention.
But that is changing. As Preity noted, "Finally, I have time for myself as the cricket doesn't need me physically." She noted that acting isn't something you can just do. For her acting requires total devotion. "You put yourself in a safety deposit box and become somebody else."
With a new man and a different perspective, Preity Zinta is ready to move forward and build a new life.
