The Game of Thrones song entitled "Rains of Castamere" has become a favorite to cover among musicians — including opera youth Jackie Evancho and Icelandic soundscapers Sigur Ros. Now, the Indian Jam Project brings you the latest harrowing cover of the tune.
As is to be expected, the instrumentation proves to change the feel of the song as it utilizes classical instruments like the flute and the tabla. We won't criticize for the use of modern elements, like an M-Audio MIDI piano.
If you aren't in the know, the song has become synonymous with the glory of House Lannister, and is dedicated to Tywin Lannister in general.
Tushar Lall and the Indian Jam Project, uploaded their own Indian classical version of the song to their YouTube channel on Saturday.
Having generated a mere 27,000+ views as of late, it should receive some well-deserved love in the very near future.
Game of Thrones is the brainchild of author George R. R. Martin and has become an iconic show of the HBO network. The show is in its fifth season and currently airs every Sunday on the network.
For now, though, get down with IJP below and groove out to a most unique interpretation of the show's famous song.
