Despite the fact that they have been best friends for years, are next door neighbors down in Mexico and are business partners in their Casmigos tequila company, Batman's new wife, Amal Alamuddin, is said to want Rande Gerber out of her their lives. According to the latest gossip news updates, George Clooney's British bride has been putting on the pressure to distance themselves from Gerber and his supermodel wife, Cindy Crawford, for months now. Word has it that Danny Ocean would rather get a divorce than split with his bestie, however. It's said that George is still a little sore about the way that Brad Pitt's marriage to Angelina Jolie seemed to ice him out of their lives, and he's determined not to do the same things to Rande after already forcing him to sit through that star studded circus wedding in Venice last year.
As silly as it sounds, the tabloids have been spreading rumors that Amal Alamuddin just can't stand hanging around some of her new husband's friends, no matter how funny or famous they might be.
Being that George Clooney spends more time with business partner bestie, Rande Gerber, than he does any of his other pals, Amal has supposedly especially tired of having him and his supermodel wife around all the time.
A source claiming to be close to the couple reveals in the May 4, issue of National Enquirer that Alamuddin insists that George act more like her loving husband that Gerber's fraternity brother has started to effect the state of their own marriage:
"Amal hopes to come home from a long day of work to find her husband waiting for her.
"When he's not, they bicker back and forth in a vicious circle.
According to the tabloid informant, George still hasn't gotten over being pushed out of his friendship with Brad Pitt by a newly married Angelina Jolie or how it made him feel.
There is just no way he can do that to his friend of more than 2-decades just because some woman he's barely known a tenth of that time expected it of him:
"He's also reminded Amal that he lost his bud, Brad Pitt, after Angelina Jolie turned him into a stay-at-home dad.
"George has vowed not to let that happen...George's woman come and go, but Rande always manages to survive."
Perhaps, further proving that Clooney's relationship with Brad Pitt had grown pretty cold since he got married to Jolie, Fortune magazine is now reporting that Pitt's production company recently outbid Batman's for the rights to option a new book about Chevron's alleged pollution of Ecuador over the last 22-years:
"Brad Pitt's production company has edged out George Clooney's to win the film rights to a book about the epic, fraud-marred Ecuadorian environmental suit against Chevron.
"The story behind the 22-year-old-and-counting court battle over pollution in the Ecuadorian Amazon, allegedly left behind by Texaco -- bought by Chevron in 2001 -- when it drilled for oil there between 1964 and 1992."
While it's pretty easy to see that the project would definitely interest both Pitt and Clooney, one wonders if 10-years-ago they wouldn't have just worked on it together.
