When you are motivated by ruthless ambition as Simon Cowell is, you have to assume that you are going to make some enemies along the way, but former Britain's Got Talent judge, Kelly Brook, insists that the way the One Direction manager treats the rest of the cast on his TV show's is unreasonably rude. According to the latest gossip news updates, Ellen DeGeneres new leading lady wants the world to know that getting fired by Lauren Silverman's fiancé is the best thing that ever happened to her or her career. Perhaps the constant disrespect is the real reason behind Rita Ora and Paloma Faith are uninterested in taking over for Mel B on X Factor, if the Spice Girl is in fact fired after the controversy with her husband, Stephen Belafonte, last season.
While David Walliams seems to love every minute he gets to spend with bestie Simon Cowell on the set of Britain's Got Talent, some of the show's former panelist found working with the Syco founder to be one of the worst experiences of the professional lives.
The star of Ellen DeGeneres new sitcom, One Big Happy, Kelly Brooks is claiming that during her admittedly short stint on the program, Cowell routinely left her waiting to start taping for hours each day (via Huffington Post):
"He [Simon] was late, he'd turn up at 1pm when the judges and I had been told to get there for 9am.
"It was a joke, it was totally disrespectful to me, Amanda and Piers.
"I had never known anything like it before. I've known, ever since my early modelling days, that you turn up on time. If I have a 9am call, I get there at 8.30am."
There's no hard feeling between them though, explained Kelly, who claims that getting fired less than a week after being begged to join the cast was the best thing that ever happened to her:
"I had never known anything like it before. I've known, ever since my early modelling days, that you turn up on time. If I have a 9am call, I get there at 8.30am."
Maybe Si's highhandedness on the show is the real reason that Rita Ora is said to rather try her luck across the pond, as well, instead of working with Cowell on the X Factor once Mel B is officially gone.
A source close to the singer told the Daily Star, that Rita has big plans for her future, and there is just no way to squeze X Factor into those dreams without simultaneously crushing them:
"Rita's second album has already been pushed back almost a year and she wants to concentrate on promoting her record, especially in the US where she is still trying to crack the market.
"She knows a permanent role on the X Factor will be too big a commitment back home and stop her international music ambitions."
Yeah, well...chances are Simon won't have to look too hard before he virtually trips over some semi-famous fool desperate enough to get their face on TV again a couple nights a week that it doesn't matter how poorly her treats them.
