Legendary country music star Randy Travis had a rough few years lately, but it looks like the tide is turning. Travis had a near death scare in 2013 after suffering a stroke after being hospitalized from viral cardiomyopathy. Now, the “Forever and Ever Amen,” singer is making a comeback. Travis made a rare TV appearance last weekend at the 2015 ACM Awards with Lee Brice introducing him to a record breaking crowd. That is not all. Travis married his fiancee Mary Davis march and is hoping to start making music again. Check out the video of Travis’ ACM return:
Last year, Travis’ than fiance, Mary Davis spoke with Country Weekly about his eventual return to the stage.
“There’s nothing more he would rather do than to be back on that stage. That’s what he loved to do more than anything. Back on that stage, to share his incredible journey that he’s been through. I know he wants to do that in person. That’s certainly his prayer and his goal. I’m just here to support that and do everything we can.”
We wish Travis and new bride all the best and speedy recovery.
